Living quite near the Carlton in Kinsale and have attended many functions there including weddings and have been to Bunclody last year as well. Very well run hotel and very relaxing. Nice staff and friendly atmosphere.

Restaurant closed on Monday. As we stayed there on that night we opted to eat in the Bia Alainn beside the hotel. We had provisionally booked the Bistro based in the bar but that was not conducive to having friends join us for dinner. However the room and the rate charged were excellent.

We stayed for 3nights on a family trip location was great just over an hour away.A little disappointed with apartment we were led to believe that they were self catering, facilities are there and the staff quickly got it sorted for us. Food in restaurant beautiful

we stayed for two nights at august bank holiday weekend. It rained all the way to bunclody but the friendly greeting we received on check in instantly brightened us up. Food in Lady Lucy restaurant was ... superb. All staff were friendly and helpful. Music in bar could have been a bit livelier. Overall i highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again. Well done and thank you. ---

i stayed here with my two children and husband and found it very good value for money the service was excellent and rooms where beautiful i recommend this hotel

My husband and our 2 children stayed 5 nights in the Carlton Millrace. Staff were really friendly and helpful especially the girls in the kids club! The children had a brilliant time at the swimming club and the evening club.The food was good in the bar and Lady Lucy's. Maybe rooms are a little tired but altogether we all had a memorable time in Bunclody! Thank you

we had a wonderful time, and left a letter of commendation for hotel manager. Everyone of the staff were friendly, chatty, helpful and went out of their way to help. They spoke to us in the hallways, and best of all, they are Irish.

Our stay in the Millrace was very relaxing the kids had great fun at the kids club but could do with more activities as the got the fed up doing the same things everyday but the girls who helped with the kids club where very friendly.

we have 2 children 2 1/2 and 6 months this has to be the best place we have stayed.Excellent location midway to all beaches, pet farms, larger towns,top class apartment with lots of space and for washing ... bottles not trying to do so in a bathroom basin!! excellent food, available at all times, great facilites for kids with kids club and pool and the spa what can i say great offers to be had. fantastic service always with a smile.even when the breakfast room got very busy it was all hands on deck to clear and reset tables so as residents were not waiting too long.The spa was divine with fluffy gowns slippers and heated tiled beds in the relaxation room i quite nearly for got i had to swap over to let my husband have his treatment and mind the kids. the only thing i could fault and i do so begrudgingly was the decor in the bar could have been a little brighter.i have stayed in carlton in athy and westport both up to excellent standards however i most definitely would recommend the carlton mill race bunclody for a break as a couple or with the kids. ---

Hotel was in good location. Rooms were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Had soup in the bar on one night which was too cold to drink and when reheated was too hot. Restaurant was not open every night. Breakfast was first class. Will stay again.
