Just back from this fabulous hotel for our family summer holiday, we had such an amazing time, the staff were so friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough for us during our stay. The family apartment ... was 1st class and allowed us the freedom to come and go as we pleased, and yet we always felt so important. The local knowledge the staff gave us really improved our holiday. We will definilty be back and will recommend this hotel to all our family with children and our friends. Thanks so much for making our staycation so so enjoyable.we really felt like we had a great break and came back so refreshed. Thanks to everyone there who made this possible! ---

Stayed for one night in the Carlton Millrace & really enjoyed it! The bar is really lovely, not overpriced and has a great atmosphere.Our room was lovely, with a really comfy bed!!! The breakfast was also really good with plenty of variety. The staff in the hotel were exceptional, really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!!!

Just spent 2 nights at this hotel, 28/29 April 2011. Lovely place to stop, very helpful staff, nothing was too much bother for them. The young lady at the reception when we arrived sorted a minor problem ... without fuss and a desire to make sure we had a very happy stay at the hotel. My husband, my daughter, her friend and I are just back from a weekend break at the Carlton Millrace. I just wanted to say that of all the hotels we have stayed in over the years, this has got to be one ... of the best. The friendliness of every member of staff we encountered was absolutely fantastic. We stayed in one of their apartments and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone traveling with children. 5 stars from us ---

My husband and I and two friends have just returned from the mill race hotel where we had a most enjoyable time. The staff were extremely friendly. The food was first class, and our rooms were very warm and comfortable. We will definitely be back and we will recommend the hotel to all our friends and family. Margaret

we had a wonderful break for two nights. we arrived on a very wet day but were greeted with such warmth by the reception staff the weather didn't matter that much. our room was very well equipped and ... nothing was too much trouble for the staff. we had dinner one night in the roof top hotel and the food was five star quality, the attention from the staff was second to none while never over bearing. we really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back again ---

Stayed here for a weekend in July with my boyfriend, got a really good deal online. No complaints, rooms are quite basic but comfortable and everything you need is there. Found the staff fantastic, extremely friendly and helpful. Used the C Spa which was fabulous. Also ate in the rooftop restaurant which was lovely. Overall a very pleasant stay - would definitely return!
