Hope & Dream 10 mile race 1st April

The ‘Hope & Dream 10’ will take place in Enniscorthy on April 1st, 2012. The 10 mile race event is being organised to raise funds for two charities – Hope; a cancer support organisation in Enniscorthy and Share a Dream foundation; a charity that makes the dreams of sick and terminally ill children come true.The goal is to raise in excess of €100,000 with the event and split all proceeds equally between two charities. All money raised by participants will go to the charities.

Rosslare 10k Road Race 9th April

Each year, on Easter Monday, Wexford Triathlon Club organises a 10k road race in the popular seaside resort of Rosslare Strand. The first race in 2010 was a great success with 180 runners and walkers enjoying a great race with a great atmosphere. Since then the race has gone on from strength to strength. This is noted as being a fast course and many runners line this race up for a PB attempt.

Wexford Half Marathon 22nd April

The fourth Pettitt's Supervalu Wexford half marathon will be the biggest and best in 2012. This year they have included a fast new 10km so everyone can walk or run a distance suitable to their level of fitness. The route is flat, fast and scenic taking in the beautiful gardens of Johnstown Castle. The new route went down exceptionally well with over 66% of people recording their fastest time ever. The race is run in congunction with local club DMP AC and many charities get involved in the flagship event for the southeast.
